Russian Theatre in Singapore
Balagan
Balagan (bah-lah-GAHN): utter chaos; a wreck -
when the theater name is matched to the team perfectly.
"Balagan" is an amateur Russian theater in Singapore, where various people participated to make their dreams come true and/or to overcome ourselves.

Our team
One year of preparation and we did it. For the first time for most of us.
In November 2019 and February 2020 we performed "The Pit" by A. Kuprin.
300 days, 10 months, more than 50 rehearsals, a team of 26 people, and 4 more musicians, hundreds of listened tunes and 8 selected ones, 38 musical intros, 12 4-6 hours of rehearsals with musicians so that the music is played properly, heard by the actors and the phonogram is recorded, about 20 rehearsals with phonogram, 3 rehearsals of actors with live musicians.
New friends, comrades in arms, colleagues ...

"The Pit", one of Kuprin's most dramatic works, made a very strong impression on me as a child... and now, many years later, I was lucky enough to become a part of the wonderful theater project Russian Theater in Singapore and start with 'The Pit".

Someday, in 90 years, I will tell my grandchildren how their grandmother played in "The Pit", a woman with a difficult fate! Today I just want to say that I am insanely happy that I found myself there and that this situation happened! I love all of you, my Pit Team, to the moon and back!
